Bitcoin (BTC-USD) has jumped past $33,000, driven by enthusiastic sentiment for SEC approval of a spot bitcoin ETF. Several major investment firms have already filed for those ETFs, including BlackRock (BLK) and Invesco (IVZ). The question now becomes what the timeline for approval looks like and what will happen after those ETFs are approved. Swan Bitcoin CEO Cory Klippsten joins Yahoo Finance to give his thoughts on those questions as well as give insight into the impact this will have on cryptocurrency markets at large. In terms of what will happen once the ETFs are approved, Klippsten says "the top-of-funnel for investor class is going to change from something that is contrary to bitcoin, which is all of the crypto scams and pump-and-dumps of the last six years, FTX and the like... Now you're going to see a new era where some of the most credible, some of the most well-funded, trust brands in the world are going to be shouting from the rooftops with tens, maybe hundreds of millions of dollars of marketing expense, just talking about bitcoin."
