In this video, I will share with you my thoughts on the latest Crypto.com news as they have once again made changes to their Crypto.com Visa Debit Card this time and they are anything but good.
After recently reducing the overall staking rewards for various Cryptos, they have not reduced massively the CRO or Cronos Cashback Rewards, which was a major appeal to most users, including myself. Now those Rewards are halved and make the Card much less attractive. I have the Royal Indigo Card and instead of 3% Cashback now only get 1.5% Cronos Rewards, what's more, it's capped at $50 per month, so really not very exciting anymore.
To lock up over $3500 for that in CRO, just made me think twice, especially since new competitors out there such as NEXO offer 2% Cashback in NEXO Coin without any lockup at all.
I have thus decided to unstake all my CRO and sold all of it and converted it to Bitcoin and send it off to my NEXO Wallet where I get significantly better-staking rewards.
I still love Crypto.com and I hope they will learn from this mistake and increase the benefits in the future again or spend less money on sponsorship instead reward their users, otherwise, I see people leaving for other platforms sooner or later and in doing so the value of Cronos will fall.
