In October of 2021, at the height of the crypto market, a cryptocurrency based off of the hit show Squid Game was created. This cryptocurrency became instantly successful due to the hype surrounding the show at the time. But it turned out to be a scam. People were unable to withdraw the money they had invested and eventually, the developers stole everything.
