For those who don’t know: Martin Shkreli is a former hedge fund manager who co-founded two hedge funds and served as the CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals. He gained notoriety for raising the price of a vital medication by over 5,000% while the company had a monopoly on it.
Shkreli was later convicted of securities fraud and ordered to pay millions in damages to victims as well as sentenced to 7 years in Prison. Shkreli since his stint in prison has become is well-known in finance and entrepreneur circles, either being labelled as a villain or a folk-lore hero for his antics that ultimately saw him spending 7 years in prison.
Wether you like or hate the guy, one thing is true, Shkreli is an extremely experienced entrepreneur and has decades of experience in financial markets. On top of this, he has been around the crypto industry almost since inception.
